Lock it in and let it grow.
Think of a Certificate as savings with a plan. You put your money away for a set term and lock in your rate, giving you a predictable return without having to wonder what your rate will do next.
With a Certificate, you can:
- Lock in a competitive rate for your entire term
- Know what your savings is earning along the way
- Choose from multiple terms to match your timeline
- Build toward future goals with fewer temptations to dip into your savings
When you’re comfortable leaving some savings untouched, a Certificate can give it more room to grow.
- Your rate stays put. Lock in your rate when you open your Certificate, and it stays fixed for the term.
- You choose the timeline. Decide how long you’re comfortable setting your money aside.
- Your return is predictable. With a fixed rate and term, you’ll know what your money is earning along the way.
- Your money has a maturity date. When your term ends, you can decide what’s next for your savings.

Frequently asked questions
A Certificate is a savings tool that lets you earn a competitive fixed dividend rate for a set period of time, known as the term. Because your rate is locked in for the entire term, Certificates are a great choice if you're saving for a future goal and won't need immediate access to your money. You'll know exactly what you'll earn while your savings continue to grow.
When your Certificate reaches maturity, you can renew it for another term or move your funds to another Financial Center account. Keep in mind that withdrawing funds before the maturity date may result in an early withdrawal penalty.
