Financial Center Employee Wins Leadership Award

September 29, 2011

William Hord, Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management at Finance Center Federal Credit Union, has been named the 2011 recipient of the Emerging Leadership Award by the Indiana Credit Union League.

The award recognizes the accomplishments of those who are the next generation of credit union leaders. As Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management, Hord ensures that Financial Center's operations continue, regardless of any disasters that may occur. He has built a contract review procedure for the Credit Union that has saved the institution over $100,000 in contract negotiations. Additionally, Hord has played a pivotal role in Vendor Due Diligence, Courtesy Pay opt-in, and many other compliance related initiatives for both the Credit Union and the Indiana Credit Union League. This past spring, Hord headed up the League's lobby efforts regarding interchange fee income.

"The award is well deserved," says J. Kevin Ryan, CEO of Financial Center. "William sees beyond Financial Center. He sees how legislation affects all of us in the industry and he takes action."
