Financial Center Donates Over $10,000 to Indianapolis Food Pantry

September 25, 2012
Financial Center hosted its 14th annual charity golf outing on June 20, 2012, benefiting the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry on East 30th Street in Indianapolis. This year's golf outing was the Credit Union's most successful to date, raising $10,321 for the local food pantry.

The Credit Union shifted its primary annual giving efforts to St. Vincent de Paul in 2008 amidst the economic recession and high unemployment rates, recognizing the immediate impact the food pantry has on members of the Indianapolis community. Over the last five years, Financial Center has donated more than $36,000 to St. Vincent de Paul's food pantry. In addition to monetary contributions, Financial Center employees also donate volunteer hours to the food pantry which serves over 3,000 households each week, making it the largest food pantry in the Midwest.
