Financial Center Doubles Field of Membership

November 17, 2011

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) has approved Finance Center Federal Credit Union’s request to expand its community charter. The Credit Union is now able to serve persons who live, worship, work, regularly conduct business in, or attend school in the Indianapolis-Carmel, IN Metropolitan Statistical Area, consisting of Boone, Brown, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan, Putnam and Shelby Counties. This move will allow the Credit Union to serve nearly 1.8 million consumers in the greater Indianapolis area.

Finance Center’s primary objective is to reach out to its community while maintaining long-term financial soundness and stability. The community charter expansion shows the Credit Union’s commitment to growing membership, products, services, value, and convenience to the residents throughout the Indianapolis community. The Credit Union will now reach a broader community and give back to residents to become a vital part of the community’s social and economic structure.

Credit Union President and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Ryan stated, “This is a historic day for Finance Center Federal Credit Union. Our team is extremely excited for the opportunity to serve more consumers in Central Indiana. If you belong to a credit union then you understand the benefits of membership; and if you do not belong to a credit union, and live in the counties Finance Center Federal Credit Union serves, then by all means let us earn your business. Last year we saved current members over $3.6 million and we look forward to bringing those benefits to more Hoosier families and businesses.”
