Financial Center is aware of fraudulent automated telephone calls which are targeting credit union members and requesting that sensitive information such as card number, card expiration and PIN number are provided. As a reminder, Financial Center will never request sensitive account information via email, text or telephone. Financial Center's online banking system, BillPayer, Moneyline, and mobile app will experience intermittent service disruptions beginning at 10 pm this evening (2/12) until approximately 3 am (2/13) as part of a planned service upgrade. Target announced this morning that as many as 40 million of their customers' credit and debit card data may have been compromised for anyone who made purchases at the retailer between November 27th and December 15th. Financial Center has already reached out to Visa to determine if any Credit Union members were affected. If we determine that your card has been compromised, we will reach out to you directly to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. If you think you may have been affected, we encourage you to monitor recent transactions on your account through online banking or our mobile app and contact us if you discover a problem. Credit Union members are reporting receiving a fraudulent text message purportedly from Financial Center. The content of the message is: "FCU ALERT: Your card is inactive. Please call 317-559-4165 or FC.COM" This is a fraudulent message. Do not release any personal information regarding your credit union account. Financial Center will never contact you via email, phone, or text message for your personal account information. Please forward any emails, text messages, or phone numbers that you believe are fraudulent to fraud@fcfcu.com. We apologize for this inconvenience, and thank you for being a valued Credit Union member.
